Who is it for?

Count Your Carbon is helping to drive meaningful change across the education sector. Whether you’re from an individual setting, school grouping, or a local authority, read on to find out how you can benefit.

Educational settings

Count Your Carbon is an easy starting point for your sustainability journey, and a springboard from which to engage the whole school community in your green agenda.

The report and action planning resources will arm you with the knowledge to influence senior leaders, governors and the wider school culture. Settings can also use the information to develop funding bids, or to talk to local authorities about changes needed that are beyond the setting’s individual sphere of control.

Local Authorities

If you’re part of a local authority, we can provide you with access to carbon footprint data from all schools in your area that have completed reports, supporting you to take a more strategic, data-driven approach to decarbonisation planning and action in your schools. To gain access to this data, email us on enquiries@countyourcarbon.org

“Count Your Carbon has been a fantastic tool for engaging Cornish Schools with climate action in a practical and meaningful way. As someone working within a local authority, I’ve found it incredibly helpful for encouraging schools to measure and reduce their carbon footprint, while also supporting our wider sustainability goals.” – Charlotte Clarke, Education Project Manager, Cornwall Council

Multi-Academy Trusts

If you’re part of a multi-academy trust, we can provide you with access to carbon footprint data from all of your schools that have completed reports, supporting you to take a more strategic, data-driven approach to decarbonisation planning and action in your schools. To gain access to this data, email us on enquiries@countyourcarbon.org

“The insights this will provide are invaluable for understanding the impact of our sustainability efforts. We’re six years into a strategy that runs through to 2030, and this marks a pivotal moment to reflect and plan our next steps. The data and guidance from Count Your Carbon will play a key role in shaping that future direction.” – Emily Brunton, Senior Sustainability Lead, United Learning
